Your Tasks
Molding Solutions is seeking a dynamic professional to serve as Manager Software Development Business Applications & Digital Services (m/f/d). The workplace is located in Germany whereby working remote is partly possible. The main tasks of the position include:
- Provide leadership and Oversight to the Software Engineering Group responsible for internal applications and middleware interfaces (team size 7+).
- Responsibility for develop and setup a new Applications and Digital Services Organization supporting customer facing Applications and Services.
- shape roles and responsibilities to best leverage and maximize team and organizational capabilities
- applies technical expertise to drive advanced architectural solutions and innovative technologies
- Manage the Dev team helpdesk performance. Collaborate closely with Infrastructure team.
- Establish and document local policies and procedures.
- Foster strong relationships with our vendors and manage vendor service contracts.
- Management of Web services related to Customer Services, SBU web sites and intranets,
- Ability to manage deployment and integrations of critical business and customer applications.
- Management of short and long-term roadmaps, predict resource requirements, and set appropriate budgets.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, senior management, and other functional leadership as a business partner to improve business efficiencies. Continually look for process improvements. May participate in or lead corporate or departmental quality or process improvement initiatives.
- Develop and execute IT plan based on business strategies. Participate in the development of regional and global IT strategies.
- Development, management, and tracking of capital and operating budgeting.
- Ability to travel approximately 10-15% and work flexible hours, with on-call and occasional weekends/evenings.
Your Qualification
- Bachelor's degree or higher in information technology, computer science, related field or equivalent work experience preferred
- Several years’ experience ins software development, with at least 5 years in leadership roles. E.g. Leader of a Software Development Team in mid to large, enterprise, multi-location offices
- experience in leading software development teams working in Agile/Hybrid environment
- Experienced in Commercial Software Development and its requirements
- Experience working in an engineering/manufacturing environment is a plus
- Experience working in a global multi-company and multi-national IT environment preferred
- Strong project management skills, agile/scum, business partnership focus, and ability to work with and communicate with all levels within the company
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong oral and written communications with technical and non-technical team members
- Experience defining and implementing processes, policies and procedures
- Knowledge of the following technologies: ERP knowledge, Windows server environments, security technologies, virtualization, M365, CAD/CAM/PLM Applications, IoT technologies; Experience supporting users in Engineering and Manufacturing environment
- Experience with CRM and manufacturing, especially cloud-based enterprise systems preferred; Familiar with Microsoft technologies including the M365 suite
- Ensure security of data and personal information, develop security standards, procedures, and guidelines in accordance with SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR and NIST frameworks and controls
- Fluent in German & English
- Strong leadership and people engagement skills
- Leads by example using leadership effectiveness (EI)
